2008-09 - Infosistema helps UMIC to establish eInvoice standards
Infosistema has been in close cooperation with the Portuguese public agency UMIC (Knowledge Society Agency), to help define the standards to be applied in eInvoicing and their implementation Public Administration pilot projects. This workgroup includes 15 renowned organizations, and Infosistema has asserted itself as a strong supporter of UBL and ebXML open standards.

UBL eInvoicing standards have already been adopted by governments such as Danish and Swedish, as they clearly present more benefits when compared to other standards.

Promoted by OASIS, UBL (Universal Business Language) and ebXML (Electronic Business using eXtensible Markup Language) are open standards, which means their users have no need to pay royalties nor licenses. UBL is a document structure standard with 31 document types currently available, including financial and business support documents.

Infosistema also has an eInvoicing application, which enables not only invoice and other document exchange between public and private organizations. Infosistema’s eFacturaPT supports most common standards internationally used in communication and document structure, which guarantees interoperability with other systems and their use in secure channels. Infosistema eFacturaPT fills this new need in the Public Administration by supplying a solution which covers both B2B and B2C areas.
