Evaluation Companies Project

Introduction

This project consisted in the development of an application designed to manage the information flow in the real estate evaluation process, as an interface to the Altamira central system and as a business tool for Evaluation Companies.

Evaluation Management

This application allows Evaluation Companies to send the results of the evaluations made to Altamira system safely and quickly. For the Bank, it shortens waiting time between the request made to the Evaluation Company and its reply.

To the Risk Department and to the Mortgage Credit Department, it allows the registration of the necessary information to be done by the Evaluation Companies in the central system. This ensures that the local application is carried out without the need to communicate with the Altamira system.

Totta Group provides its evaluation services suppliers with an Internet application, which communicates the outcome of their services directly to the MainFrame of the Group. The application is easily accessible to Totta Group’s suppliers who use it as a working tool. This application results in the productivity gain of Suppliers and of the Group. It also contributes to improving their relationship.

The Solution

The application was developed in JAVA, being served by Bea’s application server (WebLogic). Persistence of data is guaranteed by an Oracle database. The communication with the Altamira’s central system is performed through Remote Enterprise Java Beans provided by Totta Group through the Transaction Provider system.

A complete solution was provided which includes:

• Central Backoffice for the configuration of Evaluation Companies
• Local Backoffice for the configuration of users and access profiles
• Implementation of a transfer workflow, assignment and loading processes
• Sending email and SMS notifications
• Graphical Interface for loading and validating evaluations and surveys
• Loading pictures and plans
• Evaluations and surveys import/export interface to Microsoft Excel files.
• Printing evaluations and surveys
• Evaluations and surveys search engine
• Global monitoring of loading performance of evaluations and highlighting possible bottlenecks

The integrated system of internet reviews processing allows integrating suppliers in the customer information system. All in all, it centralizes the client-supplier interaction by increasing the productivity of both.
